Catherine Forshall

Catherine Forshall was born in Scotland in 1958. After studying art under Simi in Florence in 1976, she returned in 1978 to study ceramics under Professor Fantoni. Since 1989, her colourful and lively paintings have been exhibited in London, Cornwall, France and New York.

Catherine's work focusses on marine life and she regularly visits the Atlantic coast. After a spell living in Catalonia she now divides her time between studios in France and Devon. She takes inspiration from the colour and light of the seascape and shoreline and associated fish, shell fish, shells and plants, with a particular skill in capturing the darting movements of shoals of fish.

The price range of her work is £1,500 to £7,500.
